Hi, my name is Hamish Chandra. I'm a born and bred Aucklander and love this City!

I attended school in Auckland's North Shore. Following school, I studied a Bachelor and Diploma of Commerce at Auckland University. Post graduating, I was employed as an accountant in one of  "The Big Four" accounting firms. 

After two years of crunching numbers, I commenced employment for one of New Zealand's most prominent banks. For the next thirteen years, I worked in a variety of roles within this bank, mainly in senior business development positions in business and commercial banking. It is here that I obtained experience with all types of mortgage lending.

Five years ago, I established Total Finance, my own mortgage brokering company. Operating my own business is thoroughly enjoyable because it combines my passion for property with my knowledge and experience in banking. It also provides me with the platform to meet new people, which I thoroughly enjoy!

 

HOW CAN I HELP YOU?

As a mortgage broker, my role is to work on behalf of my clients in order to arrange mortgages or any finance that they require. After understanding the client's needs and wants, I obtain the necessary information needed for the application. Once the application is complete, I work with the banks to achieve the desired outcome required by my clients.

I have successfully brokered all types of mortgages and finance for my clients. Typical transactions are related to:

  • People buying their own house (the most common)
  • Funding investors into their first rental property, or adding to their property portfolio
  • People with mortgages wanting a better deal on their existing mortgage
  • Business owners or the self employed needing business loans
  • Clients purchasing commercial property
  • Property developers requiring development funding

With my experience and in depth knowledge in banking, business and real estate, I have assisted many clients in achieving their goals. For existing mortgages, I am keen to review your situation to ensure that you have the best deal.

One of the major benefits of my service is that in most cases, the clients do not have to pay me. The banks generally pay me commission on a success basis.
